Gloria Pierce, highly recognized artist and past blues music promoter, has gone back to her artist roots. Having put all the energy back into rediscovery, back into the emotional process of creating exciting expressionistic and even some hyper neo-realistic fish, is bringing her work back to Miami at Borders Gallery in East Little Havana on January 9, 2016 - thru Saturday, February 20th.
Gloria's work has always involved music, the energy and the vibe from the music is what gets the movement of the colors swirling and scratching and intermingling, producing work that certainly shows the influence of living in South Florida, but also the energy of the music that comes through the body and out to the paper or canvas. It might be seen as a meshed together of colors, or even geometrical shapes that climb and glide over the surface, or even in the colorful depictations of deep ocean fish. In the end, the work is fun, colorful and highly respected among art collectors over the years.
